A. Statistical sampling

Statistical sampling is a widely recognized sampling method in the world. It determines whether a batch of products generally meet the requirements through sampling inspection rather than full inspection. This method can ensure that the test results as accurate as possible can be obtained at the least cost. This sampling inspection method is especially suitable for incoming inspection of raw materials, inspection of some finished products, product inspection in different production stages and finished product inspection after production.

This random sampling standard specifies the quantity of products to be randomly sampled for each batch of goods (i.e. the number of samples) and the judgment standard for the acceptance of the batch of goods (i.e. the quantity accepted or rejected), which includes the sampling table and the acceptable quality level.

Acceptable quality level (AQL)

The acceptable quality level specifies the maximum acceptable defect ratio, and the specified defect value expressed as a percentage defines the generally acceptable value for buyers using a sampling procedure in most cases.

In general, defects can be divided into three levels according to severity:

Fatal defects: do not comply with mandatory regulations and / or affect the safety of consumers during use.

Serious defects: obvious appearance defects that may lead to product failure, reduce product usability and affect product sales.

Minor defects: defects that do not affect the usability of products, but may affect product sales or differ from the specified quality standards.
